CHILDCARE POSITION – BUDAPEST OFFICE
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a few trusted adults living in Budapest, Hungary who could provide childcare for kids ages 0-12 on a week-by-week basis for our clients who are coming for counseling. This is a paid position. Ideally, we will have 2-3 people potentially available for this position in case someone is not available during a family’s counseling dates. Childcare would be primarily provided for clients (families) who are traveling in from all over the world for 2-week intensive counseling. In most circumstances, you would have 1-2 families maximum at a time, and you would know ahead of time how many kids you will care for.
HOURS:
Generally the childcare provider would need to be in the office either in the mornings from 9:30 am – 12 pm and/or afternoons 1:00 – 3:30pm. (You can eat lunch in the office or take a break if working both mornings and afternoons. This job is not a full time schedule and might vary every 1-2 weeks. You would be asked in advance if you would have the dates available and know ahead of time how many children you’d be caring for and the specific dates and times you’d need to be at the office.
PAID POSITION:
This is a paid position. Clients will pay you directly 3,000 ft / hour for the first child + 500 ft / hour for each additional child.
AGES:
0-12 years age would need varying levels of supervision.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CHILDCARE PROVIDER:
- Must be 18 or older
- Application and interview are required
- 2 references (one should have direct experience with you in a childcare role)
- Fluent in English
- Living in Budapest, Hungary with easy access to our office (address)
- Reliable personality who can consistently be available when scheduled
- Willing and interested in working with children ages 0 – 12
- No sexual misconduct or conduct issues in the past with children
- Willing to maintain confidentiality about the families you are seeing
- Be willing to adhere to security guidelines that OTCC provides
ABOUT THE CHILDREN:
They and/or their families are coming for counseling and likely are dealing with difficult issues. Be prepared for kids to be working through this (maybe at times acting out). Clients generally come for 2 weeks at a time so you’d be seeing the same kids every weekday for 2 weeks, an average of 2 hours a day.
SPACE:
We have a childcare room with toys, games and such, but would ask you to come up with fun ways to interact with the children periodically. You will know the ages ahead of time and can prepare. We ask that you not use screens to entertain the children.
