Well-Being: Easy as Pie?!
Janice Bauer, LPC
July 19, 2021, 7:00 PM GMT+3
“Easy as pie” is a metaphor for looking at the big picture as we strive to live healthy and balanced lives physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally and relationally. This webinar will introduce a simple tool that can be used in a wide variety of situations to better understand the distress a cross-cultural worker (you or someone you know) may be experiencing and to identify practical steps toward healing. It is also a tool for building personal practices that enhance resilience and provide a safety net for well-being while serving in ministry. We will also look at common stressors of cross-cultural workers, at Biblical examples of people who faced challenges and how they coped, and at Scripture verses of encouragement and hope.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Janice Brauer is Licensed Professional Counselor and a member care provider. She is passionate about providing care that helps cross-cultural workers thrive. In addition to one-on-one member care, she has presented workshops on topics such as interpersonal skills, cultural adjustment, managing stress and transitions, and working on a team. She also enjoys facilitating marriage enrichment and spiritual renewal retreats. Before becoming a professional counselor, she worked in communications and has edited four biographical books about global workers.

Tools for Transitions Workshop
Tim Austin, PCC, Eve Austin, LMFT
August 2, 7:00 PM GMT+3
Let’s face it…transition is a huge part of cross-cultural life. It’s happening within. It’s happening without. Relentlessly. Because transition is such a common theme in our lives, it must be a place of purpose, where God is at work. How can we best position ourselves to make the most of transition seasons? In this “Tools for Transitions” workshop we will look at the main types of transitions, the impact they have on us, and the unique growth opportunities they afford. You will gain strategies and resources to help you intentionally process and successfully navigate seasons of change.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Tim & Eve Austin served from 1996-2016 in Tajikistan and Turkey. They currently reside in Northern California. Eve is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in private practice. Tim is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). They are passionate about helping global workers navigate life, family, ministry and transition in healthy ways. “Resilient Living – Stabilizing Postures and Practices During a Pandemic and other valleys of Baca” with Frauke Schaefer, MD
IN THIS WEBINAR: In one way or the other all of us are deeply impacted by the pandemic and other valleys of Baca (sorrow). Resilience is not about looking strong at times where we are vulnerable, but about what helps us to continue as we walk through the valley. As we pursue the Lord’s presence and engage certain postures and practices we can find sustenance for the long haul, and even growth. In this webinar we will explore postures and practices that can sustain and strengthen us.
