WHY CENTRAL EUROPE

We are located in Budapest, Hungary, a central interconnected city in the heart of Europe and a quick flight from Istanbul, Türkiye – one of the largest international hubs between Europe and Asia.
Olive Tree opened our doors in 2014 in Antalya, Türkiye and began seeing clients for intensive counseling from surrounding countries. For the next 10 years, Olive Tree grew and flourished along the Mediterranean coast, providing life-giving pastoral and clinical counseling to over 2,000 cross cultural workers serving in over 100 different countries around the world!
In 2024, due to ongoing visa concerns for our staff, we made the difficult decision to move our counseling office to Budapest, Hungary. We re-opened our doors in March 2025 after replanting ourselves along the Danube. Our vision to provide transformative counseling to workers in Western/Central Asia, Northern Africa, and Eastern Europe (and beyond) remains the same, and we are grateful for the space to provide this care from a new location.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING

We provide affordable counseling services for workers close to where they are serving, many of whom would otherwise not receive the counseling and care that they desperately need.
We suggest a donation of $1,500 for an individual intensive (equivalent to $75/hour), which is less than half the average cost of comparable services in North America and Europe. Yet even at this reduced rate, clients who also raise their own support often can’t afford to donate the full amount. On average they can only give $50/hr.
Our counselors and staff raise their own support to keep these costs as affordable for clients as possible. This is a significant amount of funds already raised for the counseling center so these professionals and their families can serve here.
Can you help us continue to provide these life-giving services so workers can return to their countries of service, equipped for healthy and effective ministry?
Your financial support will help us provide:
– Safe, restorative counseling spaces for clients and their families
– Continuing education for staff to maintain high professional standards of care
– Travel expenses for staff providing crisis counseling, trainings, and professional services at events and conferences
– Counseling materials including assessments and resources
– Local support staff with expertise in language and culture
