Steve Scruggs, Psy.D.

Clinical Psychologist

"I enjoy helping cross cultural workers deal with the many challenges that they face and work with them to find areas of strength and resilience. Often both psychological and spiritual resources are needed to cope with these challenges, and it is a great pleasure to work collaboratively with such a committed and dedicated group of people toward healing and hope."

Steve is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who completed his doctorate at Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University. He served for several years as an Air Force Psychologist, providing individual, couples, and group therapy as well as psychological assessment and child/family therapy. He lived overseas for 5 years and had an opportunity to assist several cross-cultural workers during this time. He also worked for several years with the Veterans Administration, specializing in substance use disorders and trauma. He works with individuals and couples and provides psychological assessment for children. His interests include trauma, anxiety, depression, and the integration of psychology and theology.

Steve has been married to his wife Grace for nearly 40 years and they have 3 grown children.
