Susan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University and a master’s in Spiritual Formation from George Fox Seminary. She is an approved supervisor for the state of Oregon and has been an adjunct professor at George Fox University in the counseling program. Susan has taught with TELOS international Inc. with their international graduate counseling program in China and Peru. 

Susan is trained in C.P.R.T (Child Parent Relationship Therapy), ADOPTS (Specialized therapy for pre and post adopted children and their parents), Gottman Method couples therapy, and PREPARE/ENRICH (pre and post couples inventory). She has experience with marital therapy, adoption, infertility, play therapy, trauma, self-esteem, and woman’s issues. Her passion is working with couples: pre-marital, couples with children, empty nesters, and couples entering retirement, families, and women’s issues. We go through so many transitions in our lifetime and each transition brings stresses and issues of it’s own. Susan approaches her work through a systems perspective and integrates genograms, art and sand tray therapies and other interventions to help clients find relief from their struggles.  

Susan enjoys reading, weaving, gardening, exploring new cities and cultures, and spending time with her 12 grandkids.
