Virgina is an associate counselor with Olive Tree and is currently seeing clients online from the U.S.
Virginia is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Counselor Supervisor, and National Certified Counselor with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. She has been a counselor for many years and has also developed and implemented support group ministries and trained lay counselors. Virginia especially enjoys working with cross-cultural workers. She moved to the U.S. with her family when she was a young teenager and is all too familiar with the challenges of adapting to a new culture and learning a new language. Virginia has broad experience in the areas of anger management, depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse issues, couples counseling, and multicultural counseling, particularly within the Hispanic population. She has conducted and facilitated workshops and seminars in these areas and more. She is able to provide counseling in Spanish and English.
She’s an avid reader who devours books of many types. In addition, she loves hiking, traveling to new and interesting places, learning new languages, and spending time with her husband of 32 years, Tom, as well as loving on her sweet Cocker Spaniel, Dylan.
